Kalpowar 25.10.21
Morning tea in the camp kitchen after we packed up at the dam. Then when we hit the Bruce Hwy we turned right. Y&G turned left to head home.
We drove across to Kalpowar, through the state forest. The road was picturesque, gravel/dirt, undulating and had a couple of steep ups and downs. The cruiser handled it well. As soon as we arrived a storm hit. Thunder, lightning and rain. We travelled 75kms today.
And it rained and rained 1.30 to 5.30. We got a couple of short walks in between the storms.
We found something to amuse ourselves seeing we weren't going to be riding.
More rain from 6.30 onwards so we've decided not to ride the rail trail as it isn't sealed and I'm a sook. Instead tomorrow we will head into Monto and end up somewhere near Mount Perry. Lots of art works to checkout on the way and we're going on a bunyip hunt.
