Wondai 16.9.21

 We are going to Wondai for a few days camping and cycling with Greg and Wendy.  Unfortunately Yvonne and Gunther couldn't make it. The farewell committee.  Trees in flower in Murgon. Camped beside the silos at the Wondai free camp. The old butter factory looks like it's been shown a little love. Walked up to the Cecil Hotel for dinner.  Fri, 17.9.21 BoM says it was 5.1°c at 6.30 this morning when I went for a short walk. Our camp spot.  Rode in to Murgon and back on the rail trail ~28kms After a quick rest and refreshments at our van we wandered around Wondai. Greg managed to fold himself in to the train. 06.09.2021 Bjelke Peterson Dam.

 We are heading to Bjelke Peterson Dam for a few days with Gunther and Graham & Gail. It's 180km from home. Stopped in Tiaro and Goomeri because we could. Interesting seating in Tiaro. Our campsite, with views down to the dam. 2 short walks this afternoon ~2kms Neighbours with a JJ pop top came for drinks around the fire. We continued the night with a simple dinner around the camp fire.  Tues 7.9.21 6° overnight.  Went for a 5km walk exploring the area.  Afternoon visitor Another night around the camp fire.  Wednesday 8.9.21 4° overnight but a beautiful day. Went for another 5km walk. Graham made a rum n raisin damper for a picnic morning tea.  Another night around the camp fire. Spotted bats, planes, ISS, other satellites and a shooting star.  Thursday 9.9.21 6° overnight.  We're moving on to Childers today.
