Redcliffe 31.10.21

Packed the swimmers and bikes in the back of the cruiser and headed to Redcliffe.  The plan was to have breakfast, check out Bee Gee way,  wander the market,  then go for a ride along the foreshore followed by a swim in the lagoon.  The gentle breeze while we ate turned cyclonic. The sand was being blasted into our legs and our hats became impossible to keep on so we decided that riding and swimming were out. We did lots of walks instead. This wind mill thing was compelling to watch. It looked like a carnival ride. I was waiting for the rings to fly off like a frisbee.          How cool is this dude Sand gate area Bike repair station,  most of the tools were missing.     Track to the boat harbour     A man made cliff wall     Gayundah shipwreck.       A 'tracti' garden by our camp spot.  A nice quiet afternoon by the van trying to stay out of the wind. Wescloud, East Burpengary 30.10.21

Image
Today we're heading down to East Burpengary for 4 nights on a 40 acre property. First stop was at the Howard bakery for some goodies to take to Marks old school mates in Curra. After a couple of hours chatting we departed for Wescloud Lodge. BBQ area and tiny but adequate amenities. Very peaceful and green. Quick wander around the paddock as the sun set. Heavy rain late at night made for a soggy camping area. We travelled 262kms.

Went for walk around town.                            ↕️                               ↕️ Catching the drool  A kiss from the mouse  Pretty flowers in town.  Art gallery and cafe was closed 😏 Three moons silo. On to find a bunyip in Mulgildie.     Emu 🤷‍♀️          Coffee with a view.  View from Mt Perry lookout  Lunch at the Mt Perry Federal Inn. Lots of memorabilia.  We are camped at Wolca, ~8kms out of Mt Perry. It's a disused sports ground. Lovely and green,  shady trees, amenities and only 1 other van here at 2.30pm. We travelled 180kms hitched. Phone reception is a bi...
